Drogobych. Bruno Schulz’s mother goes to Vienna.

Most likely she wanted to visit the family members who lived there. In addition to her older son Izydor*, daughter-in-law* and three grandchildren, her paternal family also lived in the capital of the monarchy. After the outbreak of World War I, they left for Vienna together with the husbands and children of the daughter of her cousin Jonasz, Lotta Kiesler and Betty Albine Polturak née Kuhmärker1.
