Górki. Zofia Nałkowska receives a letter from Bruno Schulz.
Zofia Nałkowska* notes in her Diaries on 19 July 1933: “I received a letter from Bruno Schulz again”1. Neither the date of sending this letter nor its content is known. According to Jerzy Ficowski, Schulz’s letters to Nałkowska were lost in a fire during the Warsaw Uprising2. Schulz’s acquaintance with Nałkowska started in April 1933, when Schulz came to Warsaw to ask Nałkowska for help with the publication of The Cinnamon Shops. The acquaintance then turned into a very deep intimacy. (mr) (transl. mw)
