Born in 1971 in Tomaszów Mazowiecki. A graduate of Polish Studies at the Catholic University of Lublin, he was a student of Professor Władysław Panas, and a teacher of Polish language at Primary School No. 13 in Tomaszów Mazowiecki.
He is a bibliophile and publisher; he popularises the works of Bruno Schulz, Zbigniew Herbert, Julian Tuwim, Józef Czechowicz and the history of Drogobych. He has been engaged in research on Schulz’s work since 1992. His master’s thesis (“Twórczość Brunona Schulza w krytyce i badaniach literackich (1977–1994)”), as well as his books focus on Bruno Schulz: Archeologia wiosennej kosmogonii (2004), Schulzowska kaligrafia (2005), Drohobyckie metamorfozy istnienia (2017). He is also the author of Wieczór poezji Józefa Czechowicza (2007). As a co-author, editor and publisher, he published: Marzenie Błękitnookiego. Ułamki wspomnień o Profesorze Władysławie Panasie (2005), Donchichoteria Wacława Sadowskiego (2005), Polish-French edition of a Julian Tuwim’s poem “Przy okrągłym stole” (At the Round Table), translated by Jacques Burko (2007). These bibliophile prints, designed by Włodzimierz Rudnicki, reached Drogobych, Toledo, Paris, Tokyo, Belgrade, Madrid, Lviv and Barcelona, to name just a few. Since 2004, he has repeatedly visited Drogobych and has become a guide in this “peculiar province”. He has dedicated to the author of The Cinnamon Shops and his hometown the bibliophile series: “Telegramy Stamtąd” and “Miasto Marzeń” and the exhibitions: Zainstalowani na wieczność – Bruno Schulz i Drohobycz, Furtka do “miasta jedynego na świecie”, Z Warszawy do Drohobycza. Powroty Brunona Schulza do “miasta marzeń”, which were presented in Tomaszów Mazowiecki, Płock, Warsaw and Mikołów. He has collected a unique archive on Bruno Schulz and Drogobych. In Inowłódz he has organized outdoor literary, musical and art performances devoted to Tuwim: Piknik Tuwimowski, Wesele Tuwima (2009) and Rzecz Tuwimowska, inowłodzka, nasza – spotkanie kultur (2012). His literary essay: Pięćdziesięciolecie tysiąclatki. Jubileusz Szkoły Podstawowej nr 13 w Tomaszowie Mazowieckim (2011) was devoted to his primary school. (transl. mw)
