Caneppele Paolo

Finder of Schulz’s registration slips and his index from the period where he studied at Higher Technical School in Vienna.

Paolo Caneppelewas born in 1961 in Bressanone (Italy). He studied History at the University of Bologne. Currently he is the curator of Austrian Film Museum (Österreichschen Filmmuseum) in Vienna. He is the author of La repubblica dei sogni. Bruno Schulz, cinema e arti figurative (Kinoatelje Gorizia 2004) and Die Republik der Träume. Bruno Schulz und seine Bilderwelt (Graz 2010). He presented the results of his research about Bruno Schulz’s life in Vienna at the Bruno Schulz International Symposium in Trieste in 2000. Two years later the paper was published in Polish translation as “Bruno Schulz w Wiedniu”, [in:] W ułamkach zwierciadła. Bruno Schulz w 110 rocznicę urodzin i 60 rocznicę śmierci, edited by Małgorzata Kitowska Łysiak, Władysław Panas, Lublin 2002. (js)
