Warsaw. Bruno Schulz visits Zofia Nałkowska and talks to her about the volume of poems by Łukasz Flis (Stefan Szuman).

Schulz, during his visit at Nałkowska’s*, notices the volume of Szuman’s* “between those books, which Ms. N. prepared as the next portion of reading”1. When talking about the collection, Schulz reveals the author’s real identity, although – as he writes to Szuman – Nałkowska knew it before: “She seems to have already known something about you, sir, from Witkiewicz*, who recently visited her”2. The joint reading of Flis-Szuman’s poems is interrupted by the arrival of theatre and film director Ryszard Ordyński. (mr) (transl. mw)
