Drogobych. Bruno Schulz leaves the Jewish community.
He presents a number of documents in which he applies for “leaving the Jewish religious denomination”1 and “adding him to the non-denominational register”2. It is supposed to enable marriage with his fiancée, Józefina Szelińska*. He also plans a fictitious registration of residence in Silesian Voyvodship, because, according to the law regarding the territory of the former Prussia-occupied part of Poland, this is the only way in which he can marry a Roman Catholic.
