Stanisławów (now Iwano-Frankiwsk). Funeral of Izydor Schulz.

The day before the funeral, the body of Izydor Schulz was transported by train from Lviv to Stanisławów, where his deceased wife came from and where their family tomb is located. The funeral takes place “with a crowd of friends and acquaintances of the deceased”1 and his family, among whom there is probably also Bruno Schulz. Instead of a wreath for the coffin, numerous organisations, enterprises, directors and private persons donate to charity2.

On that day, at least two obituaries of Izydor Schulz are published, one in the daily “Chwila”, signed by Baltoil Spółka Akcyjna of Gdańsk3, and the other in the daily “Gazeta Polska”, signed by the Galician Oil Society “Galicja”4.
