Vienna. Bruno Schulz’s nephew, Jakub, is born.

The youngest child of Izydor Schulz* was born in Vienna*. On the same day, Bruno Schulz received the news that he once again became an uncle1. Probably in honor of his grandfather* who died five months before, the boy was named Jakub. (js) (transl. ms)

    It was possible that Izydor himself passed the news to his younger brother. He ended his front service in Kosmacz on 13 October 1915 and was presumably already in Vienna (Belohnungsakten des Weltkrieges 1914–1918, Offiziersbelohnungsanträge (OBA) No. 76.878 (Karton 82), Österreichisches Staatsarchiv / Kriegsarchiv).
