[Warsaw]. Tadeusz Szturm de Sztrem writes a letter to Bruno Schulz in response to his questions about his trip to Paris.

Szturm de Sztrem refers to the question posed by Schulz in an unpreserved letter about “reserving foreign currencies for later”1. After long operations and interventions of many people, Schulz was granted the money in connection with his planned trip and efforts to obtain a passport. Now, however, it is difficult to transfer the necessary funds from Drohobych to Warsaw for the buyout (which is known from Wilhelm Schulz’s letter).

Schulz also had to ask Szturm de Sztrem about his views on the planned Paris trip. In response, he read: “A mere departure today at such a late hour would of course be an almost entirely missed endeavour”2. Therefore, the question of foreign currency seems to be of secondary importance: “if it is possible to get things done in a relatively short time, it will be possible to do the same at a different time”3.
