Katarzyna Kaszorek

Born in 1989 in Gdańsk. A graduate of English Studies (specialising in translation) at the University of Gdańsk, and of Spanish Studies at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. A Ph.D. student at the Faculty of Languages of the University of Gdańsk.

Translation studies are her field of activity both academically and professionally. She translates historical texts (especially from the Second World War), as well as scientific and popular science texts, and short films. In this project, she focuses on the academic reception of Schulz’s works in English-speaking countries and takes care of the archive. She is the author of an article: “‘Polish Kafka’ w Ameryce, czyli co o Schulzu pisali pierwsi amerykańscy badacze jego twórczości” (2017). (transl. mw)
