Zakopane. Bruno Schulz enjoys holiday in the company of Zofia Nałkowska and meets Maria Kasprowiczowa.

During his stay in Zakopane* in January 1934 Schulz meets Zofia Nałkowska*, who immediately after arriving on 4 January* – notes his presence. Schulz also visits Harenda’s villa, where he meets Maria Kasprowiczowa*, with whom he talks, among others, about physiognomics1. However, it is not known whether he also meets Professor Stefan Szuman*, whom he persuaded to visit Zakopane and make acquaintance with Nałkowska2. (mr) (transl. mw)
