Warsaw. Zofia Nałkowska receives a letter from Bruno Schulz.

After the end of Schulz’s week-long visit* to Warsaw, Zofia Nałkowska* develops a closer relationship with her secretary and soon partner Bogusław Kuczyński*. At that time, Schulz continues to write letters to Nałkowska. From her Diaries we know that on 21 April she received a letter from Schulz, which was preceded by an earlier unknown shipment. “After returning here [from a night walk along the right bank of the Vistula in the company of Bogusław Kuczyński – p. M.R.]1, I received a second letter from Bruno, covering me with spell and the most tender delicacy, contemplative adoration and happy from peace”2.

About the contents of the correspondence we know as little as Nałkowska notes in the few entries in her Diaries; otherwise, the fate of these letters remains unknown. (mr) (transl. mw)
