Drohobych. Bruno Schulz officially ceases to work at the Władysław Jagiełło State Middle School due to not meeting the deadline for obtaining full qualifications to teach drawing.

Schulz does not feel the negative effects of his dismissal. He has been granted leave to prepare for the exam in teaching drawing1.
